Lowveld wine lovers mark your calendars for an evening of wine tastings from an array of over 250 of South Africa’s best wines. The eighth edition of the FNB Mpumalanga Wine Show returns on the 6th and 7th of April at the Southern Sun Emnotweni Arena in Nelspruit.
The full line up of exhibitors can be seen online and some of the top SA Wineries include Graham Beck, Spier Wines, Durbanville Hills and Simonsig – reflecting the diversity of wines spanning across the Western Cape.
International wines will also be on show, with Valdo Prosecco making a first-time appearance. Take your pick from a smorgasbord of wonderful wines, from crisp bubbly and titillating whites, to voluptuous reds, ports and fine brandies. Olives, olive products, wine accessories, luxury stemware and artisanal products will also be available to buy at the show.
Located just 4 hours from Johannesburg, the FNB Mpumalanga Wine Show offers a good excuse for Gauteng-ers to get out of the city for the weekend and indulge in some of the finest wines in the country.
The Wine Show has been a highlight for the “sunshine” province, where visitors to Nelspruit can taste their old favourite wines, as well as sample some new additions. Vino-collectors can also take advantage of the budget-friendly show prices and add something new to their personal wine collections.
The FNB Mpumalanga Wine Show is one of three such events on the Capital Route sponsored annually by FNB since 2010. The others are held in Limpopo and Free State.
Ticket price: R180 (unlimited samplings, includes tasting glass and wine show guide.) Tickets can be purchased via Computicket or at Checkers money market counters from 20 March 2017. Unfortunately, no entry to under 18s, babies and prams.
