Dimitrov Art
Arguably the most popular and renowned art gallery in Dullstroom, the Dimitrov Art Gallery is run by the incredibly skilled artist Branko Dimitrov. Born in a small village in Yugoslavia, Dimitrov began painting at the age of seven, evolving slowly into the well-known professional artist that he is today. Speaking about his work in a way that ties beautifully into the rich history of South Africa, he once said: “For me, great art is an expression of freedom.”
Have your portrait painted by the man himself, on the veranda outside the gallery and then cheer alongside onlookers when it is completed soon after. Inside, a vast array of stunning paintings adorn the walls: striking landscapes, portraits, still life, wildlife, and figures.
