Dullstroom Riding Centre

The story of the Dullstroom Riding Centre dates back to the late 1980’s under the steadfast leadership of owner Dave Curtis. A herd of well-tempered and gorgeous horses coupled with Dave’s expert guidance make for an unforgettable Dullstroom horse riding experience. The Location

The Dullstroom Riding Centre is located 10km outside of Dullstroom in Walkersons Estate, in close proximity to Walkersons Hotel & Spa. The estate itself is 800 hectares in size and features rolling hills, a variety of small dams, a gently flowing river and endless breath-taking views from verdant hilltops. Oak trees line the contoured pathways and the landscape is dotted with colourful wildflowers. The reserve has been compared to the beautiful Scottish countryside by many a visitor, and for good reason!

Pricing

1 hour ride – R200 per person
2 hour ride – R350 per person
15 min pony ride – R60 per child (Subject to availability)

The 1-hour rides are suitable for riders of all levels – from beginners to experts  – while some experience is preferred for the slightly more strenuous 2-hour rides. The maximum weight for horse riding at the Dullstroom Riding Centre is 95kg and booking is essential. Safety is of the utmost importance, which means that riding helmets are provided and children are placed in the unique ‘kiddie western’ saddles during pony rides.
