Events in Dullstroom | July 2022

Calling all music lovers and foodies, in-person events are back in Dullstroom! With the lifting of most COVID-19 restrictions, in July 2022 several artists are scheduled to play at venues around town, from blues-rock singer Albert Frost to Martin Bester & Band. There are an array of other exciting events coming up in July, and we have all the details.

Friday 2 & Saturday 3 July 2022 | Dullstroom Biker Music Festival

The Dullstroom Biker Music Festival is an annual music festival in Dullstroom, taking place at Dullstroom on the Dam, a camping ground in town. Spread over two days, 1 and 2 July 2022, festivalgoers can look forward to mouth-watering food, a bustling beer test, fantastic live music and fun for all ages.

Saturday 9 July | Martin Bester & Band @ The Poacher

Award-winning Jacaranda FM breakfast show host and vocalist of rock band Kinky Robot, Martin Bester and his band, will be entertaining guests at The Poacher in Dullstroom on Saturday 8 July.

Sunday 26 July 2022 | Dullstroom on the Dam

Look forward to live music by Dullstroom local musicians at Dullstroom on the Dam. Braai packs are available for sale with sides and the cash bar opens at 12h00.

Saturday 30 July 2022 | Blues Evening with Albert Frost @ The Sessions Lounge

Enjoy an evening of top-tapping blues music at The Sessions Lounge in Dullstroom. Local band Hollowbody will kick off the evening, followed by the legendary and respected musician Albert Frost.

Known for his energetic performances and skilful use of the guitar, Frost is a well-known feature of the South African blues-rock music scene. He performed with Blue Broers for 21 years, and has recorded with Arno Carstens, Koos Kombuis, Chris Chameleon and many others. He has performed with various popular artists in South Africa, and with international artists such as Ali Faka Toure and Finley Quaye. He toured with Simple Minds and Rem and supported none other than the Rolling Stones.

TBC | Dullstroom Village Market

The 19th edition of the Dullstroom Village Market will be held on in July 2022 on the Dullstroom Village Green.

Market-goers can expect to shop an assortment of quality homemade and handmade products and gifts including pottery, clothing, tapestries, wall art and more. This market will also give visitors an opportunity to indulge in (and stock up on) an array of food and drink offerings such as local gin, South African wines, pastries and savoury snacks.
