As part of the R540 Highlands Wine Route, Dullstroom plays host to an annual Wine Event filled with various activities and experiences to enjoy.
What and When Is The Dullstroom Wine Event?
This year’s event will take place from Friday the 28th of September to Sunday the 30th of September 2018. The event itself entails various activities from dinners and pairings to treasure hunts and comedy shows.
A Breakdown Of The Event:
Friday 28th starting at 18:00: Dullstroom Treasure Hunt Safari Dinner
This entails a 5-course meal paired with wine from 5 different wineries served at different restaurants in Dullstroom. Participants start at the first venue and find their next venues by following a series of clues. Tickets are R600 per person.
Saturday 10:00 – 16:00: Wine Tasting Showcase
Sample this wines 19 wineries with over 60 different options to choose from. Tickets are R120 online or R160 per person which includes access to all the relevant venues, a wine glass, and a map of the entire route.
Saturday 18:00: Comedy Safari Dinner
Enjoy a delicious 5-course meal and comedy show paired with wines from 5 different wineries. This evening guarantees plenty of fun, laughs and good food. Tickets are R600 per person.
Sunday 08:00 – 11:00: Echo Events Chaplin or Mad Hat Breakfast
This event entails two venues competing with two wineries in a ‘breakfast to remember’. Book a breakfast with any participating venue and enjoy an MCC or Sparkling wines alongside the chefs’ choice breakfast.
