Embracing Contemporary Country

Our vision was to elevate the atmosphere of each Luxury Lakeside Suite to ‘contemporary country’ while maintaining the traditional elements that make a stay at Walkersons Hotel & Spa so distinctive and reminiscent of a magical getaway to the Scottish Highlands.

We achieved this by incorporating fresh, natural colours, updating the suites’ amenities and selecting plush fabrics to enhance each room’s luxurious, cosy feel.

Starting with colour, we selected a unique palette for each suite that highlights the serenity of the surrounding landscape while adding vibrancy to the overall feel of the interior. We punctuated each colour scheme with beautiful Hertex fabrics, which we used to reupholster the soft elements in the room—couches, headboards, cushions, and curtains.

Of course, the hero of each Luxury Lakeside Suite is its view over the picturesque dams or landscapes surrounding our hotel. We’ve framed each view with a cottage pane glass door, inviting the outdoors in and seamlessly blending the two spaces for you to enjoy during your stay.

If you’d like an unencumbered view of the estate’s rolling hills, simply step outside onto your private patio – the ideal spot to savour a cup of tea or a glass of red wine as the sun goes down.

For those who have stayed in these suites before, the new Morso wood-burning fireplaces will catch your eye, stylish additions that will keep your spacious suite warm on even the coldest winter night. Fall asleep to the reassuring crackle of the fire and wake up to its lingering heat on fresh mornings.

The results of these refurbishments are subtle and elegant, retaining the spirit of a traditional country escape but enhancing it with contemporary decorations.
