Lekkerland Carnival 2018

After a successful first outing, Lekkerland Carnival in Dullstroom is back for the second year in a row. Brought to you by King Price, kykNET and Matchbox Live, Lekkerland Carnival 2018 will take place on Saturday 7 April at the Dullstroom Village Green.

In addition to a full day’s worth of performances at the main stage on Saturday, there will also be various unplugged music sessions at different venues across Dullstroom on Friday and Sunday. Lekkerland Carnival is a family friendly event, with a dedicated kids’ zone, as well as endless entertainment from stilt-walkers and jugglers from the BDI Street Performance. The Village Green will also feature a wide range of food stalls, and a fully-stocked bar.

Lekkerland Carnival Line Up

Following the Lekker Run and MTB Out Ride on Saturday morning, the gates at the Dullstroom Village Green open at 10:00, and the first act of the day – Dullybugger – takes the stage at 10:30. Throughout the day, music-lovers can expect performances from Adelle Nqueto, Bouwer Bosch, The Barbosa Experience and Refentse.

Things really heat up when the sun goes down, with Karen Zoid making an appearance at 18:00. Cape Town-born folk sensation Matthew Mole arrives to woo the crowd at 19:30, and Afrikaans satirical duo Van Pletzen round off the main stage action for the evening at 20:30. If you’re still hungry for more entertainment, make your way to the Bohobo Cafe Bar for another performance by Pedro Barbosa at 21:00, or to Duck & Trout to groove to DJ Arod at the same time.

Tickets are available on www.lekkerland.co.za, and will include access to all of the main stage shows, and several of the unplugged shows at other venues around Dullstrooms. Tickets are limited, so make sure to book yours as soon as possible.
